Geraldine's story

Geraldine was the second born of 4 siblings into the Halpin family. She was raised in a Christian household amongst her sisters Norma and Carol and her brother Nigel. Geraldine qualified as a Teacher and went on to marry husband Rev Paul Harris. She accompanied Paul in parish life contributing hugely to their Ministry, notably at St Mary's Atherstone. For those of you that knew her, you'll know that she had been struggling for a long time with Parkinson's, Lewy Body Dementia and a number of other health problems. She died from a catastrophic stroke on 17th December which allowed her to slip away peacefully and without distress. However, you might also remember her before her illness as a dynamo - organising, looking after and selflessly blessing every group of people and place that she was in. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, sister and grandmother and we will all miss her. All her life, she drew much strength from her faith and she died secure in her salvation and the love of Christ. It would give the family much pleasure if you would like to remember Geraldine by making a donation to the Air Ambulance if you can. With our thanks and love.

What is a gift in your will?

Legacies, also known as gifts in Wills, have a profound impact on our charity, funding 1 in 7 of our lifesaving missions. Legacies are another way in which you can honour a loved one’s memory and that gift allows their memory to live on long into the future, allowing us to save lives of future generations in their name. If you have included such a special gift in your Will, you can now show that on your loved one’s page with a pledge, or you can request to learn more about legacies with our free Gifts in Wills Guide.
