Hi everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page

We have chosen 3 charities close to Dad's heart for any kind donations made in his memory, and want to share with you a little of the background to how we came to choose each one. As many of you know, Dad was picked up by the wonderful air ambulance team after his accident, and their excellent care (and that of the bystanders and paramedics) meant that we got 24 precious hours to say goodbye. Dad / Alistair was at the pioneering forefront of roadside medical care throughout his 54 year career with the NHS, nearly 30 of those he sREAD MORE> pent as an A&E Consultant in Derby - a career we are all so immensely proud of, and one which he loved. He was one of the founders of the “flying squad” - doctors who attended road traffic accidents to attend to patients at that critical time, and regularly attended incidents at all times of the day and night, saving and helping a countless number of lives over the years.
Dad / Alistair felt so passionately about roadside medical care and ironically also benefited from it in the end, and so did we as a family, so donating to this charity in his name so that others will benefit too is just what he would have wanted.
